Grey Matter Data Basics. What is PPC?
Pay-per-click (PPC) is a type of digital advertising in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. PPC is often used to direct traffic to websites, where the goal is usually to convert the visitor into a customer or client. PPC is a way to buy visits to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically. One of the most popular types of PPC advertising is Google Ads, which allows businesses to create ads that appear on Google’s search engine results pages. When a user searches for a particular keyword or phrase, the businesses’ ads may appear at the top or bottom of the search results. The business is then charged each time a user clicks on one of their ads.
